Tomorrow and Wednesday we will be experiencing winter weather here in the Lowcountry. We will have freezing rain, sleet and snow. While this will be exciting and fun for the kids, it will be a mess for adults, especially if you have to drive anywhere.
A couple of extra tips on what to do:
1) Watch out for ice, especially “black ice” which is a thin sheet of ice over the asphalt pavement that you cannot see.
2) Make sure you pipes are dripping but also have some extra water on hand in case the water main breaks.
3) Be prepared for power outages.
4) Do Not have open flames indoors.
5) Prepare for this as you would a hurricane, without the wind.
Be Prepared!
