The Town of James Island will hold a public hearing on residency requirements for the Town's Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals on Thursday, January 16 at 7:00 at Town Hall.
The James Island Planning Commission provided a recommendation to the following amendment to the Town's Zoning and Subdivision Regulation Ordinance:
All Planning Commissioners shall reside within the municipal jurisdiction of the Town of James Island.
All Members of the Board of Zoning Appeals shall reside within the municipal jurisdiction of the Town of James Island.
An ordinance adopting these amendments is scheduled for a first reading at the January 16 meeting.
