Speed Humps on North Shore Drive
Two speed humps appeared on North Shore Drive today. They are located near Waites and James. North Shore is an SCDOT road and so this required SCDOT approval. The part of the road between Waites and James is under City of Charleston jurisdiction. Presumably the City of Charleston requested the speed humps and paid for them. We were as surprised as everyone else.

WHO cares? Light the stupid lights at Dill's Bluff & Camp before someone gets killed! You said it would be finished by the end of the month LAST MONTH!
ReplyDeleteThe Dills Bluff and Camp project is being held up because the James Island PSD needs to do more work on sewer lines. When that is complete, the last layer of asphalt can be put down and the lights can be operated. Dills Bluff and Camp are both SCDOT roads, and the project is an SCDOT project.
DeleteI guess this is what it's going to take to get people to slow down. I don't mind going over them because my car takes them like a champion but I know some people don't like them because they scrape the bottom of their cars. These ones don't look too bad though.
